As a first generation refugee from Afghanistan her start in life was not a very promising one. But Farshida believes that her background makes her into the person she is today. Resilient, loud, strong willed and fearless. She has a unshakeable belief that anything in life is possible. Even a Dutch -Afghani tech geek with a law degree. According to Farshida diversity and inclusion have become household terms but she wants tech giants to do more than just talk about it. She is done with the lipservice and calls out the tech giants to take responsibility and really include women, specially women with a migration background. In her view women have a lot to lose in the digital transformation and need to step up and demand a seat at every table, from design to development, from ideation to decision making.

"Having immigrant women on your team not only allows you to gain new insights and expand your target audience it also prevents you from making stupid decisions.”
